Oh she sure looks cheeky! It really hard to resist giving them a titbit isn't it? My turtles do that you me all the time.

They really love dry cat food, or rice cakes.

What do your turtles nibble on? (The terrapin I had as a child ate flies! We would catch one with a fly swatter and feed it to him. His name was Cecil (I think I've told you before sometime....)

My turtle eats dry terrapin food. I haven't started feeding them with vege yet.

What happened to Cecil?

It was a very long time ago, and poor Cecil, after many happy years of eating freshly caught flies, passed away of old age. We were all (my 2 brothers and 2 sisters) very sad. I'll have to ask my dad if there are any photos of him anywhere. He was so cute and lovely.

She climbs around on the bars following me, frantically. Then her buddies join in, all climbing on top of each other to be the first one to get the treat. You can see Crystal's nose poking out of their house. She is just about to join in the mania.
It was very hard to get this shot, they scramble around so quickly, it was really kind of a fluke.

They do this all the time. I can barely walk past the cage without at least one of them following me and silently pleading for a titbit.

pS My daughter made a book of animals, where she drew pictures of giraffes, fish, birds etc, and she drew a little doggie and told me it was Bitsy. See Bitsy makes people happy even in Australia!
