In Resident Evil: Abandoned, one of Claire's agents goes missing. His cell phone is used to make a phone call to the police, but it was a child who made the call. TerraSave takes in the call, as the child mentions zombies, but the scope is too big for them to respond. Claire, not about to leave one her agents alone with the undead, decides to go help him. She follows his trail to an abandoned hospital. And...you'd have to read past that point, but that should give you the idea
