Suddenly out of the darkness came a large black figure with glowing red eyes. It swooped just above her. Kari shrieked and covered her head. She heard footsteps and stood there, frozen with fear.

“Oh, its you.”

Kari looked up. Erebus. She smiled sheepishly. “Sorry if I startled you.”

Erebus rolled his eyes. “I thought you were Mother.”

Kari smiled. “So what they say isn’t true!”

“What do ‘they’ say?”

“They say you don’t care about anyone.” Kari said. She quickly added, “But I don’t think that!”

Erebus raised an eyebrow and smiled a bit; out of sheer amusement. “And why would that be?”

“Because…” Kari said. “I just have a feeling. Something tells me that you don’t seem like you really are.” She smiled up at Erebus. “I think deep down, you really love your brothers and you just gave me a clue that you really care for your mama. I think if you got the choice… you’d choose your brothers.”

Erebus stared at her in shock. He, at first, was a bit angry. He then saw her sweet, innocent smile was unwavering. Erebus sighed. “Where were you heading at first?”

“To go see Tai…its dark and I’m afraid.” Kari said, her smile now fading.

“There’s nothing to be afraid of.” Erebus said, sighing again. “Come, I’ll take you to your brother’s chamber if you really are that frightened…” He began leading her down the corridor. Kari had to jog to keep up with him. She, very sneakily, reached over and grabbed his gloved hand.

This child… Erebus thought, looking down at her. She truly is something else. I have half a mind to throw her in the dungeons…

Kari looked at him with another sweet smile.

And yet… Erebus thought.

From a "what if" kind of fanfic my friend is working on based on all her other stories. It's what if Donovan (wizzie's father, who's evil and all that ) wasn't over thrown and Gatomon wasn't given up by her parents (since she had to in her original story to become a digi egg and become one of the destined digimon) and then Rhys and Gatomon are to be married for the their two countries to get along or...something along those lines. It's rather good so far. Of course it's wizgato. X3 You should read it if you get the time. [link]

I couldn't resist doodling this once I read the part, I stopped where I was reading and drew this before continuing. X3 Then I thought the doodle looked pretty good and colored it. Nothing big though, a have quite the few mistakes (definitely with the shading since there's no source of light XD ), such as forgetting to give him a glove...I didn't look over that in the fic lol, but it's still uber cute. She wanted to make Myo somewhat good (who's name is Erebus in this story) and so she chose to have him have a soft spot for children. He'll side against his father (I believe from what she told me) later in the fic too.
