I think it could be his nose that makes it not look completly like Don.
But besides that I can't say anything, since when I saw this I did actully think about Don.

Don's nose is a beautiful thing, but it's a pain in the neck to draw.

I can imagen that. It is a bit.. special, you might say. I have tried to draw Don myself, and I failed.

Pretty good! I like the idea of him being a gypsy.
I think the reason it doesn't look like *him* is his forehead, and maybe the lack of the OH MY GOD HUGE nose. Don has a relatively long, thin face, so moving his facial features up and apart a little might help?
