Description Created with Mandelbulb 3D 1.79, post-processing done with IrfanView and PSP Pro X4; I found this to be a most interesting image to work with and one more named for the Big Picture Series once completed...enjoy!

This amazing Mandelbulb has been featured in my latest journal feature "The Mandelbulb/er 3D Salad Sandwich Project" here:

LOL! Speaking of pleasure and squary things - are you acquainted with 's stuff? It's incredible! He's been a strong influence and I've tweaked a lot of his things though not well enough to post them all!

Oh yes indeed! I'm quite familiar with Mark's work and he does some great stuff, to say the least. Frankly, I rarely tweak other artists' parameters and prefer to boldly go where I think...no M3D artist has gone before!

Well that's the thing with tweaking - it's a good way to find out where fractallunkers HAVE been before and deciding whether you want to go there again! I've learned a lot from tweaking but I don't necessarily find something 'new' to post from my meanderings. LOL!

Hmmm, that's an interesting comment, Leonie and I've been wondering if there might be a "Fractal Parameters Generator" around? I'm surprised in a way that this doesn't seem to exist right now and perhaps our friend Jesse might be the Wunderkid to invent such a program. I've checked other artist's fractals as time permits but I seem to be on my own path, exploring and investigating and seeing what I can come up with and share my images with the world. It's a great adventure and a lot of fun also to "boldly go where (perhaps) no one has gone before." Well, off to work now, Leonie...have a great day! And I will check out the link you provided in your other message this evening--thanks very much!

Hm...fractal parameters generator? Not too sure what you mean by it... is one of the main formulas writers for M3D these days....maybe he's one to talk to?

There used to be something like that on the net for UF though. You could enter your params and it would tweak them for you and then you could go off on a new path...

Well, a sort of generator which would give us free reign to explore fractal algorithms and so on...maybe come up with something "new." As for UF...whoa! I bought that program a while back and must check out its ability to tweak params--thanks a lot for the tip, Leonie. And Luca is on my Watch list...I'll get in touch with him and see what he might have to say about a fractal generator. Mind you, the Navigator is close to it and we may get a real generator some day soon! Also, I've looked into fractal music generation also and there seems to be some movement on that front also. Have you looked into this, Leonie? Have a great day!!

There's always something new in the works for fractals it seems!

UF - well it took my eons to figure it out! Once you do, the possibilities are simply endless. There are SOOOOO many different formulas to fool with. And thanks to a friend on here, I've just been encouraged to post some sooooo I will post some more. I do have a folder of mostly older ones in my gallery already - pulled out from ancient storage on here. So you may see something new from UF. Give it a try - it's amazing!

Fractal music has long been an interest and I've tried several progs. I had one that you just entered an image formula and poof, music was created. I have one now called A Music Generator and another called Fractal Harmonies. Please let me know if you come across any good ones! One day, I'd like to put fractal music to fractal videos!

I think "fractal art" is in its infancy and really deserves a different title with sub-genres, too. As for UF, I certainly spent a decent buck to buy the program and will just have to tear myself away from Jesse's M3D and that is that. As for fractal music, I've got both programs you mentioned and no real time to spend with them. I also have VISIONS OF CHAOS which is quite a decent program and you can create music with it also...another one I need to get going on! And indeed, putting music together with fractal animations would be the ultimate...only time will tell, I guess!

Ahh, the Time Factor! Well, one thing for sure, I'll be setting aside Jesse's wonderful program for a "time" as I work with UF and Visions Of Chaos...and so on!

Yes indeed, Leonie--I hope for also! And lucky me, I guess...saved up my monies to buy a powerhouse Acer system...quad core. Really, really helps with ray tracing programs and speeds things up a lot.

Oooooohhh, thanks so much, Brenda!
As for not working too hard, well a bit kapooped tonight and not sure if I'll have time to work on any new images at all. Perhaps tomorrow I'll have more time to get back at it, right? Absolutely.
Hehehe, a pleasure to do the Rainbow Bubbles...it was a combination of exploration, finding, creating and so Rainbow came to be--cool!
As for the "sweetheart" comment...kind of blushing up here--but not a whole lot at all!
CHEERS!!
