My Fastest creation yet, due to earlier complications this mask original start date was pushed back till the last week before AC. I made this in only 4 Full days of work. Many new techniques learned such as Long fangs added to a taxidermy jawset, Beak like mouth, nostrils, vinyl horns with painted on brown coloring, ear ring hole on left ear, Deep slash scar.This mask features the sensitive moving jaw, taxidermy wolf jawset, Glowing wht led painted eyes, ear hole, open nostrils, long fangs, zipper access in back of head (zipper only available on short hair masks)
This was a commissioned Item and has already been given to is owner at AC 2010.

If the zip is only availiable on short-haired masks, what do you do with the ones that have long fur?

I do use zippers now in all lengths of fur.

Ok, I was wondering how you get the head on and off if there is no zip LOL. But how did you get them on and off when there was no zip??

i always use a zipper or velcro on my masks as they have tight necks. some people make slide on head with larger necks so your head will fit on.

they are make of apoxie sculpt which is a 2 part putty.

I never understood reptile masks being made out of fur.

For the fact that scaly fabric is very rare (the proper non-shiny kind), and about $40 per yard when cheap.
Iv got looking online, in stores, and Emailed costume companies that use the fabric about where they get it. Its just out right rare.
