I just saw Jurassic World, and it was awesome! I liked how some of the dinosaurs were given personalities. I think a lot of dinosaurs would have had personalities, just like animals today.
Here is Indominus Rex and Tyrannosaurus Rex!

UPDATED with a better background. The dinos deserved better.

I'd love constructive criticism. My art blog can be found here: kristengracehall.blogspot.com/

This looks good, but most dinosaurs had feathers. The actually mention in the movie that a good chunk of the resurrected dinos are inaccurate due to missing pieces of DNA and wanting to appeal to how mainstream society views them.

That probably wouldn't apply to the one they made up for the movie though since there's no real-life counterpart

Thanks! It's the two Rex dinosaurs from the end battle scene, so I just drew what was in the movie.

It's a dinosaur species they made up for the movie. I liked the movie a lot. I've heard it's not realistic for dinosaurs (I don't know a whole lot about them), but I thought it was fun either way! They gave the velociraptors personalities.

Would look a lot better if you did not base Rexy's look on the Schleich Tyrannosaurus....

Because that figure is a pretty bad Jurassic Park Rip-Off.

MonocerosArts In reply to MugenSeiRyuu [2016-06-07 16:18:49 +0000 UTC]

I based it off of Rexy, not a toy. Besides, Jurassic Park does not own the corner on dinosaurs. The fossils do.

If you don't like my T-Rex, don't favorite it. If you don't like the Schleich toy, don't buy it. If you think they're using a copyrighted dinosaur design, sue them.

MugenSeiRyuu In reply to MonocerosArts [2016-06-12 21:29:31 +0000 UTC]

Expect the fact that the JP Dinosaurs in some cases look very different from the real animal. Especially in cases where the real deal had feathers.

As for your toy claim, I'll just leave this here:

MonocerosArts In reply to MugenSeiRyuu [2016-06-13 01:35:52 +0000 UTC]

Jurassic Park used the iconic dino designs. I based it off Rexy's design because she's...the dinosaur I was drawing.

Yes, I've seen it before. If you think Schleich stole Rexy's design, take it up with them.

They should do a Rexy prequel. A lot must have happened in the 20 years before she was recaptured.

wcomics1998 In reply to Omegaman120 [2015-08-14 01:10:31 +0000 UTC]

Fine fine. but I would just want to say that though females were a bit bigger, the males were better fighters due to the fact that they had to fight other males for mates as well as territory

Even if Indominus survied the fight and manadged to escape from/kill Rexy and Blue, scientists have know discovered that T-rex was venomous. It's toxin has been compared to our modern komodo dragons. Indominus recived massive wounds to its face and legs. Sorry but as cool as Indominus was nature produces more terrifying monsters than even our best scientists and movie directors.

I'm a Dino freak and I wouldn't say venomous, but t-Rex did have tiny pockets in it's teeth for fatal bacteria. Also nearly all predator's teeth are like knives, but t-Rex's teeth are the size and like pick axes. Designed to crush

LionKingTeen19 In reply to MonocerosArts [2015-08-03 19:38:12 +0000 UTC]

Not so much "venomous" as it had a septic bite simalar to our modern day moniter lizards.
