It's been a little over a year since I started to take drawing seriously and what better way is there to see if someone has improved other than to do a redraw?I decided to do a little twist with this challenge and chose to redraw two different pieces.
One piece I remember I was very proud of making ( www.deviantart.com/moni-perovi…).
The second piece has haunted me ever since I first posted it. I could not make it look good no matter how much I tried ( www.deviantart.com/moni-perovi…).
I combined these two pieces to a new piece and even though it's not 100% identical to my old drawings, I applied most of the old elements to be able to see the difference.
I feel like this new piece shows a lot of improvement but also what I have to get better at.
My goal to the next years redraw challenge will be to improve a lot more with my background drawings.

I know you did not ask for a review on this and I hope you do not feel I'm out of place or mind my doing a short one for you.
I feel you have done a wonderful job of combining elements of the 2 previous pieces into this one to create a whole new and original piece.
(BTW Black Rose in itself is a beautiful painting I love the colors in it and the feeling of movement and grace of the horse)
You have captured that same movement and life in Unique Friendship in the horse.
The original painting/drawing of the wolves is very good also, but I noticed the wolves in Unique Friendship have more defined details and textures in the fur and faces, That really improves their visual appeal and brings them to life It gives them more volume form and depth. Fantastic work on this !!!!.
This has a very charming and playful mood and atmosphere. (What I call a feel good artwork)
The reverse L composition structure really unifies the entire painting and gives it a very balanced feel.
The diagonal line of the body of the wolf is I feel a wonderful eye lead line into the painting. It draws the viewer's eye up to the horse. The second wolf overlapping the horses leg draws the viewer's eye back to the first wolf and completes a clockwise circle line of vision. This I think makes the viewer travel through the painting again to pick up more details and take a closer look at the entire artwork. It also keeps the viewers eye from traveling out side of the painted surface and holds the viewer's attention.
I feel the colors you have chosen are very harmonious and give this great color unity and visual appeal.

In the review you refer to the foxes as wolves. For future pieces, may I ask why you see them as wolves and not foxes?
