Description "Every 6th person in Germany is suffering from burn-out syndrome or other forms of "overworking"."

Felt like capturing this in a photo.

I love the idea behind Your picture
it's simple, acurate and makes one stop for a moment and think
'how much burnt out I am myself?'
andΒ
'maybe i should do something to change this state...'
because to some extent it reffers to all of us here.
No matter if one is an artist or physical worker,
with time his passion and devotion burns out.

Thank you for this comment. I agree that being aware of stress can help a lot with handling it and taking a step back.

You know,Β
Realizing that a problem exists
is in fact the first step in dealing with it

I love how you've thought this through from the way you've aligned the matchsticks to the colour of the background you've chosen.

The background colour has a gradient like effect that seems oppressive somehow and works very well with the concept you were trying depict. I will have to admit that I had to read your artist's description before I completely understood this piece, although I don't believe that is necessarily a negative point. However, having read that and going back to your photograph, I think you've done a great job. I wish there was some sort of effect visible on the other matchsticks, I think that would lend a greater impact. I notice, though that there is some discolouring on the right side of the matchstick closest to the burnt out one, and I like the ideas that propagates.

I enjoy the simplicity with which you try to put forward your ideas, it is unassuming and also seems effortless.

I wish you the very best with your future work!

I love how this photo illustrates the quote in the description! The only thing you maybe could have done was gradually burn each of the matches until the other one was completely destroyed or messed up, I feel it would have given more oomph to the message and the photo.

Wonderful concept! I like your idea with this, and the way you used a quote to inspire this photo was pretty cool if you ask me. I love the simple background, which helps us really focus on the foreground and what the photo is trying to tell the viewer. Lovely composition as well. Great work!

I think you could add something more to this photo, as it just seems.. dull to me. It's a great concept, but I think you could take it a few steps further and really help the viewer relate to it. I probably could've given out what the photo meant without the description, but imagine that someone is looking at this without having that quote in mind. What could you do you make them really think, "Wow, that's so neat!"? Just a few things to consider.

Beautiful work though, I love it

This is a wonderful way to capture such an event. The photo is so simple, and you lined the matches up so well. The background color worked well, I like that you went with an off-pink/purple instead of white!
