I felt this costume was a fresh take on the classic Avenger, a great way to change looks after Spider-Verse event 2014-2015. I don't know much about her save for: she is a spider totem b/c she has spider DNA, has tactical experience before and during her stay w/ the Avengers & as spy for S.H.I.E.L.D., and she has worked to fix her life.I looked up her origin- not much of an origin since it was the 1970's- and I'd like to see MARVEL make an MCU remake/update. Also note she is a BRITISH-born super heroine, who grew up in the US.
This new outfit designed by artist Kris Anka premiered in MARCH 2015 after Spider-Verse in February. But Spider-Woman debuts as a playable character in the Spider-Man Unlimited mobile game now.
She has had 2 origin backstories, neither I hope get adapted into the MCU.
Origin 1: Her parents moved in w/ the High Evolutionary, she got ill from radiation poison, her dad saved her by giving her a Spider-formula.
Origin 2: While pregnant, Jessica's mom was hit by a laser which transferred spider-DNA into her in Utero.

I think it's a good idea. She wore the same thing for 35+ years. Spider-Man did the same but his suit is ICONIC. Her new look complements the new street level direction they're taking with her. Plus many people like it b/c it's cosplay friendly.

kind of, but its also b/c she wore the same look for almost 40 years. The artist wanted a suit that would be cosplay friendly but at the same time be practical b/c she gonna be street level now.

its even less practical, it looks just a costule she painted purple and some boots she got at a cheap place.
her old costume had lots of gear and supplies that helped her be a hero.
its just as bad as the new spiderwoman costume, less superhero, more hipster

SPIDER-MAN & ALL RELATED PROPERTIES NOW IN MARVEL CINEMATIC UNIVERSE
Spider-Woman can now have her origin in MCU b/c SHIELD gonna help her b/c HYDRA gonna brainwash her into killing SHIELD, they save her, and she goes on self discovery w/ SHIELD.
