FULLVIEW FOR DETAIL.

Done for Pheophin Day on Neopets, part of my domination of their crap gallery. Seen on this page , by 'flying_thylacine' (that's me, not someone stealing).
Man, watch them steal that title and make it a 'band'.

I love oC, you can really paint with it. Sadly, I don't have paint and currently can't buy any. "Ask your dad!" Well, here are his opinions on my last real painting: "WTH IS THAT?!?" "Why do you have to paint such dark things?" "I'm so glad I don't pay for your paint." (Reason for the seperated quotes is because it came out really slowly. And don't worry, he drones on about how much he hates my work, it's lost its effect.) And frankly, I wouldn't waste MY paint on Neopets. Although, since I'm not really their 'fan' (in fact, have a personal war with their artists), I put a lot of work into this because it was fun. It's sad to say this is one of the funnest things I've done this summer. I also dislike doing meaningless pictures, and this really had no story - so I threw in a fishing boat. I don't really like fishermen, even if my Grandpa's one, since I consider catching less intelligent fish with bait to kill them not very nice. I also did it without lineart - something I haven't done for a while. Don't usually do it because it turns out ugly, incorrect, and takes longer. And when's the last time I've done a picture of something underwater?

Yeah, the bubbles are half-assed - it was 3. Same with the water and boat. Theoretically, his eyes would be at the side of his head and would not be viewed in that way, because that's their version of a Hippocampus ([link] ). I have my excuses: 1) It doesn't look very good the other way. 2) This isn't actually realistic (so don't comment on the anatomy). 3) I am not doing his face a 3rd time. 4) This is the 'prehistoric' version of the creature - pretend it's supposed to be that way!
Haha, I really make their cute, little seahorse look ugly.

Anyway, I like it, hopefully they will, and hopefully you do as well. I like critique, but don't mention his anatomy and other things I've already consulted.

Time spent: Well over 10 hours, that I know.
Lineart: None.
Done in openCanvas v 3.02e, with my mouse. (I got rid of my tablet, it was shit.) Some editting in Photoshop CS2.
