I love it! I think your painting style rocks, though you're much better nowadays. I myself am hopeless at painting but would love to learn more. I love the Ryu Final manga almost as much as I love Bengus, Edayan or Kinu's official art. I suppose the whole move of Shun Goku Satsu is completely up for interpretation still since this manga isn't canon. All we really know is that he grabs you, the lights go out, you get the shit kicked out of you somehow and when the light comes back..... you're dead! I was thinking of the things that happened in that fight recently and, as much as I love what Masahiko Nakahira did in the manga, it doesn't actually fit well into SF lore. If the last move is a point blank fireball, that Ryu avoided by intentionally impaling himself on the fist, how can it be said that Gen avoided death by voiding his soul? That wouldn't save you from being blown through with a fireball.
Is this a kind of re-telling of Gouken's "death" or do you imagine this happening in SFIV? The only reason I ask is because Gouken has his SFIV long hair but is the only one wearing the beads. If it's during SFIV then Gouken's a dumbass for letting this happen again or maybe he just can't compare to "the raging demon".
I like how the kanji is bursting out of Gouken's back in a spray of blood. Capcom have done something similar when they introduced Oni and designed his first ultra combo. They made the exit wound of the fireball into the ten kanji and even made Evil Ryu's back scar resemble it too.
Apologies for the long waffles. I just made a pic of that moment in Ryu Final so I've had a lot of thoughts about it and when I saw this it brought everything to the surface.

Haven't seen the manga in a while but if I recall correctly its not so much punch through the chest its basically Akuma hammer his foe with bunch of rapid fireballs. the punching part is basically Ryu last hope of escaping it.
