I just read the comment about it not being a beard but a metal jaw. I'm actually quite dissapointed! it would look really cool and unique as a beard.

Very professional and well done; I was expecting you to write that this is some model for an upcoming groundbreaking game.

Looks excellent mojette!
Seems as tho you used "that" basemesh-which rocks

one question,
your extrusions, such as that on the coat, how do you do those? mask and then inflat? or the layer brush?

Any advise on modelling hard shapes in zb would be appreciated

Very good work. Makes sense to make a metal jaw that looks like a beard since beards are wicked cool

How do keep making those eyes? Some kind of combination of the Slash2 brush?

What a snooty mother fucker. But I like him, he's got pazazz, you know? Very VERY interesting facial hair. And he also appears to own Owen Wilson's nose!

Great character, and....i played in Assassin's creed in April for PC at last - very cool and beautifull game - NPS models and textures very nice

Jino-SilverflamE [2008-05-13 10:54:23 +0000 UTC]

great, but the metal jaw still looks more like an aristocratic beard. Maybe textures will make it look different/... Or maybe you need to redesign that somehow.

I really dig the sculpt - the hair does it for me every time!

Quick question, ecause the character is kinda posed is it still possible to do symetrical sculpting on it? or did u get rid of that option when u posed it? Just curious because it'd help alot. Very nice sculpt by the way, the brow has nice form to it.

mojette In reply to pancreas [2008-05-13 11:05:01 +0000 UTC]

there is a way to have the symetrie activated even when posed but I don't remenber how! in my case I used a layer for the pose! so I could activate or deactivate the layer when I needed to do symetrie

pancreas In reply to mojette [2008-05-13 11:46:10 +0000 UTC]

Oh awesome, thats a massive help. I didn't actually know u could do a pose in a layer, makes sense though. Cheers mate

Intervain In reply to pancreas [2008-05-14 01:09:43 +0000 UTC]

yes.. it's in the transform palette - activate symmetry - poseable symmetry... [just butting in ]

Love it! I love the emotion you sculpted into the face. It's subtle but says so many things...he looks stately yet meditative at the same time. Btw, I just bought Assassin's Creed for PC, I can't wait to play it and find your models in the game!

metal jaw? pretty cool my only crit is that the area where this jaw meets with the lips needs more definition

Ikameka [2008-05-13 07:30:17 +0000 UTC]

very cool update, he has that nice soft inflated feel to his folds and creases in his face that i like in a sculpt. Only comment is maybe his nose has a lot of flatness to it, I think if you rounded out the very end of the nose it would soften that hard edge... Just trying to sound productive rather then just nerding out on your sculpt hah

Cool update

I'm not sure about functional part of metal jaw though - is he supposed to talk/open mouth?

purple-pufferfish04 [2008-05-13 06:23:02 +0000 UTC]

so he has a metal jaw made of to look like fire? cool

oh hey question: do you prefer to model out hair in polygons? i was just a little curious about that for industry standards?
