face study, using smudge technique. For the finish i tried some details on skin....learned quite a lot!Reference:

I'm crying inside cuz I'm crap compared tho this.
Seems like it gets a TAD too dark like right at the top of the nose ridge. Maybe a little bit of rim lighting?

don't be mate, sometimes i get that felling too, when I see professional artist here on deviantart, knowing that i didn't took any art school so it'll be very hard to get there. It's doable with lots of practice but hard when I have full time job, so you are not alone friend *pats*
yea i see that shadow is a bit off, reminds me that i need to buy second monitor just to avoid these mistakes...

Face is really realistic except shadow of the hair. It's so smooth.

Yea, I only focused on the skin, adding hair just to get that "face in the frame" from side view. But yea, hair shadow does look a bit off...Thank you for your compliment! and I'll remember that the next time when I'll be doing more portraits/figure drawings.
