Hahah. Maybe their so bored thanks to those Empire jerks, they come up with wacky fashions? lol. Either that or they still get bored, and need decent fighting clothes or something. I mean... if you have to train all the time ( in my game I do...), in reality heavy outfits would be hot to be in. So maybe those clothes are airy and light to carry. ...great... you got me to think.
