So adorable!
I absolutely love how her glasses have fallen down her nose a bit, and she's looking slightly surprised to see you there.
Her ears are relaxed, and that really lends to the sweet nature of this drawing.
I love it!

Hi! I'm from #BreakoutTeam and I'm here to critique and help.

Well first off I'd like to say this piece is pretty good for just a "doodle".

I myself have just started using SAI and I like how you took advantage of the brushes and blur tool while shading. The colouring looks very clean and I like how you defined the light source in your picture.
I also like that when you drew the the hair over the eyes, you didn't colour the eyes over the hair which is something a lot of people do (sometimes even me ) and I'm glad you got it. (:

A suggestion I would make would be to add creases to where the hands are holding the paper that way it doesn't look like she's holding a block.

Well honestly I can't find anything else wrong with it. You did a very good job for a doodle. Nice expression on her face and you drew the glasses very well.

Sorry I couldn't be a better help. Nice piece though and I hope to see more art from you and what else you can do on SAI.

lol well since this is just a test, I won't go rambling on about technical skills and the piece itself...

I use sai mainly for sketching and linearting because sai has extremely crisp lines and the program itself is really small and is very fast to open lol. I use it to draw bg too actually, since it has a great painting system.

I'll admit that i'm not that good at sai cuz I haven't used it for anything major yet. but when I did use it for bgs, I played around with the blending, dilution and persistence of the brush. the best and fastest way to get to know a program is to play around with it enough to know all the tools and then read tuts to learn techniques and tricks you can do with them... here's a good tut about drawing in general, lineart and SAI [link]

there's another one for adding brushes to sai but I don't have a link for that one... it's on DA though so you can find it~~~

another thing to pay attention to is the stabilizer at the top of SAI, if you don't like how your lines come out, you can adjust that to something you like~ SAI also has some built in textures and special brushes so you can use that too~~~

Really sorry for the late response! >< this is a requested critique from ' #BreakoutTeam .

I think that this "doodle" than yours is really nice, but i wouldn't even think of it as a doodle though >< lol
I'm a traditional artist so I don't use SAI or am aware of most programs so I would not be able to give you any pointers on that. So let me start my feedback.

-Lighting: your lighting is very good, I can see that you had a specific point of light you had (top-right) which makes your shading spot on to my eyes.
-Good work with the glasses, a lot of artists have a problem with them, but it seems that you're fine with it~;D
-Expression: I like the expression you gave her. You made her seem as if she was going to ask you a question & you also made her lovable with those ears ><
-I really cannot find anything wrong with your picture >< & because it is a doodle it isn't supposed to have a detailed bg, but it would be more interesting if you made one~

True true, I have 300 Deviations, so no more LOOOOOOOOONG reviews for a while.

But it's 100% proven that you CAN DRAW MEGANE REALLY REALLY WELL, and this is no exception. ^^

As far as the test goes, it does look good but so did all your Photoshop pieces. Unless working with SAI is faster or easier, I don't see any particular improvement in quality. [or maybe your just SO good, you'd excel with anything] ^___^

I like it- it's cute, I can't do this well in SAI yet. The only thing that bothers me is that it is very light. It doesn't hurt my eyes, but almost.

I guess what bothers me is the paper? Although there's shadows on it, the writing still looks normal, is if it doesn't conform to the papers shape. Know what I mean? XD Guess not.
