This was the piece I made for bluebug for winning 2nd in my October animation contest. ^_^ I am really happy how he turned out in the end. I got the request way back in late October and didn't really start it until Christmas break. On top of this guy, I have yet another art commission to do for bluebug.
ARGH! I 
doing art for her. I had lots of fun with the pose and sword design, but I'm not pleased with the sword's texture. It doesn't quite have a metallic feel. But it does glow. (zOMG...I'm becoming like George Lucas and throwing in special effects to make my work better.
) ^^:The background was just a stroke of genius...or desperate creativity.
All I knew was I wanted lightening...then I felt I needed to frame my picture so I made arches. The arches peaked like a stained glass window so I added a stained glass. (Okay I cheated and used a patter overlay and gradient. bite me! 
) My favorite part of this piece (besides the kick ass background) are the SHINEY PANTS. I just can't get enough shiney pants action. err...wow...that sounded kinda dirty.
Well, that's final...no more pepsi for me! 
I also like his hair and eyes. AND MASCULINE ABS!! 
I think it's really made of jello. Like my legs. 
Well, nothing else to say except the credits.

A friend linked me to this - not a bad piece of work at all. I like the background, and the sense of motion in the picture, and the coloration. You did a nice job with this. My only real nit to pick is in the continuity of it. Dante does not acquire Alastor until he goes to Mallet Island, which takes place at a later time than how he's portrayed here. That's young!Dante from DMC3, which is a prequel. I really love how Alastor looks and the detail on it, which is why I noticed. ^_^ It's a nice picture, and you did a good job with Dante and a lovely job on Alastor.

Wow, what a nice picture. I like the shiny/reflective sword. My only criticism is his head's a bit small, but it isn't too much of a big deal.
