I said i wasn't going to paint for a while... But as any drug i am addicted to paint
, and i even feel bad about spending time on it when i shouldn't. But anyway i'll try to organize so i dont spend too much time on painting.This one is the first of a serie of portraits i will do this summer (i hope) just because i always liked portraits and i haven´t been good at it ever, so i want to practice a lot this kind of paintings, Really different of my usual stuff but it is nice for me to try other paths.

Yup, very different. I'm wondering where are you heading now. Some artists consider this heavy brush strokes as only a sketch, and keep working on it to make it more detailed. But others leave it as it is. What is your goal, or opinion? You know I'm not a painter at all, I need to see linework, so I'm just asking for curiosity reasons

Yeah i know it may be considered unfinished, but i actually find interesting the abstraction of rough brush strokes. I don't really know if i will give more time to it, but i am sure i will do some more of this kind of portraits. I am just trying different things, and experimenting. (by the way, I think i need to practice linework

I didn't mean I think it's unfinished. To be honest, all of your works seems like be out of focus on purpose, so I'm used to that and I like it.
Since this piece is different (as you have already said in the description) I thought you're trying to make it more focused, almost like colored linework (I mean, sharp as that).
This laziness might be your signature, so if you feel that way, don't change because it may not necessary works for you. There is always a thick line between experiment and ruining everything
Well, I don't think I will ever try painting (forget the linework), but who knows. And I don't now if linework will give you anything since your way of thinking (like other painters) is just different.
Don't be upset, because there is nothing to be upset about

nice to share thoughts with you, i actually have always loved impresionism so i think it is something that my works may reflect.
i think line work is really important to practice, i do practice with pencil sometimes, because with lineworks you are learning about geometry and the measurement of things.
It is something important to learn and practice.

No es nada tu estilo ni tu paleta de color habitual pero está muy muy bien! Me encanta la expresividad de las pinceladas, parece que tienen la textura pastosa de la pintura real, a pesar de ser un digital art. Ella me transmite cierta melancolía, no sé si era eso lo que pretendías. También mola mucho el nimbo rojo y todos esos toques más cálidos para romper con los otros tonos más apagados.
Siento mucha curiosidad, ¿cómo empezaste con esto del dibujo? Tu nivel es de profesional, me cuesta muchísimo creer que no hayas recibido cierta educación artística.
Yo tampoco uso mucho tumblr, más que nada para cotillear, pero te sigo, si no te importa.

Si que es algo melancólica la imagen y lo que buscaba. Me alegra que te guste.
La verdad nunca he recibido clases de pintura, ni nada parecido. Pero es algo que me encanta y desde que tengo mi tableta he pasado mucho tiempo viendo videotutoriales, viendo el trabajo de otros artistas digitales y pintores tradicionales, incluso probé pintando con oleos hace un año (algo de lo que aprendí algunas cosas interesantes) También tengo que decir que disfruto mucho llendo a museos de arte xD.

Joe, jajaja. Es que yo soy estudiante de arte y creo que manejas muy bien la composición, las armonías cromáticas, la perspectiva atmosférica, etc. Vamos que son cositas que alguien que nunca se ha empapado del tema no conoce. Pero sí, al final el DIY y el youtube son los mejores profesores. XD

Bua, es que hoy en día con internet esta todo al alcance de la mano! muchas gracias por los alagos, tambien me gusta analizar imágenes de artistas que me encantan e intentar comprender como lo hacen, como usan los colores, como componen. Muchas veces me abro en photoshop alguna imagen me pongo a analizar colores,saturaciones, composicion, etc, etc. Y se aprende mucho intentando llegar a comprender que hace a una imagen algo bello, aunque a veces simplemente no se pueda comprender todo

Sí, la verdad. Yo también me paso horas mirando tutoriales y he aprendido más así que en muchas clases, también me gusta analizar imágenes para aprender técnicas, eso siempre es interesante. Creo que la mayoría de las veces lo que es realmente hermoso es lo que está fuera de nuestro alcance.
