Ah I don't know how to describe it! It's very common~Maybe you call it another way(bodycolor? ). It's said that gouache comes from the Italian guazzo.
Gouache is some way similar to watercolor, but it contains more gum.
Gouache can cover different layer of color, so I think it's very different with ink color.
