do you know that it's name is "thuja plicata" in Latin. It is a member of the Cypress family (Cupressaceae). it has oil meringues in each leaf and bla bla...

the pink at the edges really compliments this particular shade of green. the DOF is so tight here. i wouldn't have thought to do it that way, but it makes you focus on the two particular branches/leaves (?) more.

I like the soft green and pinks of the shot - it reminds me of your newest peice. The plant looks alot more fragile and delicate than it actually is, I think because of the colour and the shallow depth of field, but I think this makes the plant more endearing, and perhaps a touch more like a catelogue or something

Yeah this is very similar to 'wash' in my mind as well, I like this sort of soft/sharp macros. I think it's *prismes 's influence.

I'm loving the green, and the half in-focus, half out of focusness of it.
Looks like a tamarack, or blue spruce somewhat. THe needles and colour that is.
