Personality/Background:
When she was born, her mom had the choice of naming her either "Marissa" or "Madison." The name would be for the most successful, talented, study-oriented girl in the world. Right?
...Nope.
Marissa is indeed very talented and strong, but unlike her family, does not take pride in her accomplishments, but she acknowledges them. She's more tense and laid back, just going through school and life. She has the ability to be very social and as teenish as it's possible to be.
Too bad she's not into that.
She's rather shy, and very fond of solitude, but she does have lots of friends, they all share common interests, and all hate the same stuff. She is more upbeat and social on the internet than real life, but it doesn't bother her. She is all about reading books, watching Youtube, and drawing. She's actually insecure about her artwork and place in the world, but she tends to ignore the nagging feeling of depression.
Though she is smart, she doesn't like to ask for help much, in fear of being mocked or being annoying. She likes learning stuff on her own and is very intuitive. Organized, well thought out, and perfectly ok with herself. She's very loyal, open-minded (except for when it comes to food), enthusiastic, caring, kind, and the person you go to for advice. She's a great friend if you can get past her untrusting barrier. She's very sassy and sarcastic, and can come across as rude and mean, and sometimes a bully, but unlike bullies, they insult others without thinking about their words after, she actually can still feel remorse and guilt, and will only give you a serious insult if you really deserve it. She will talk down to anyone, and is usually the authority figure in a group. She's a leader, but will often follow because of laziness. She sometimes stutters her words when she's nervous, but is usually easy to understand.
Because of her very affectionate and loving side, some people have became rather "uncomfortable" near her.
Her hobbies include: Drawing, collecting dice and erasers, fashion, writing, singing, organizing stuff (No she's not OCD!), and reading.
She's becoming more prominent on the Youtube scene with her channel, CaliforniaCollector. She uses it to showcase places she's travelled to, and to help advocate things she supports.
Relationships:
Marissa has a good relationship with her mother, as it's based on common interests, views, and sarcasm. Though they look similar, they are almost polar opposites, as her mom cares a little too much about people's opinions as to where Marissa couldn't give two shits. They both are talented in art, Marissa drawing, Michelle writing. Her mom supports whatever she's into, even if the family doesn't approve.
Marissa is neutral generally towards her family.
Marissa is loyal to all her friends, and will never name a best friend because they're all great in their own special ways.
Special:
- Marissa owns three cats, Baby, Fuzzy (both are black with green eyes), and Oreo (Black and White with brown eyes).
- Her name means "Goddess of the sea/From the sea", and represents a lot, as she's very interested in living at the beach, marine biology, the likes.
- Marissa is deathly afraid of insects, seaweed.
- Marissa was born in the winter, (Dec 2nd), and unlike her family, doesn't get cold easily, as she has thick skin and can tolerate below 50 degrees temps just fine.
-Marissa is Pagan, and is a Wiccan, and has a spellbook.
-She'll wear a whale tail necklace from time to time.
- Marissa just doesn't care for others opinions, and loves being herself and loving her fandoms.
