This is 's OC, Jini. ^^I decided to do something a little different from how I usually color. I don't know if I succeeded or if it even looks different, but... haha. It was fun.

I kind of like the simpler/subtler coloring. the candy colors are cute and work well with the character. not so thrilled about the heterochromia. it's kind of distracting and makes the character seem off-kilter. the coloring for the hair seems a bit flat as well, though it is consistent with the coloring style used on the rest of the body. I'm also not thrilled about the background, both in terms of design or colors. it's simple, and that's not necessarily bad, but it comes off a little like it was tacked on. the focus was clearly on the character, but a more functional background would have made the picture more interesting and less distracting. i think the color choices for the BG were a little too jarring and compete with the more subtler tones of the character. the cropping of the hand and feet looks amateurish. if the cropping was done a little closer to focus on the torso/bust it would have seemed more like a design decision rather than a way at avoiding drawing the feet/hands. Overall a mostly successful attempt, good job!

lol no problem! i'm trying to start a new trend on dA...lol.
anyway, no u definitely have skill, it shows. i like the coloring style and i think it was largely successful. As for composition, the secret is usually to keep things off center and have a focal point.
again ur welcome! there's so much fluff comments on dA that i see...just felt like giving my honest opinion. but i like ur art! you're a good artist and that's why i watch you!
