Description Page 1

So I decided to start making a story with Jenny, my OC. I've got a couple cute scene ideas, so we'll see how this goes.

I will be eventually inking it and coloring it, but I have to wait till Monday for my tablet to arrive. Then I'll get some real stuff done.

Oh I didn't tell you????
Yeah, I accidentally dropped mine. I was moving my laptop, forgot it was still attached to the tablet, and pulled it off the counter where it crashed on the hardwood floor. I got it all set back up and when I went to use the pen the dot on the screen raced around at a million miles an hour while the pen was still. Sooooo I just got a new one.

I got the Bamboo Capture Graphics. It's really all I could afford, but it's still a bit of an upgrade from my Connect.

Yeah, I was wondering about that. I use my keyboard for my function buttons with SAI, and I wasn't sure if the buttons on the actual tablet would even have a point.

they do if you are going to use photoshop CS5 ( a terrible scary program that doesnt let you keybind 1-9 F1-F10) Mine also has a cool wheel where you can zoom in and out with...but i just use z and x to go in and out so its kind of pointless... my tablet also has precision mode where if you hold down the button the cursor moves a lot slower....but again pointless cuz i can just use the S-5 stabilizer in sai and im all set.

The only major flaw this tablet has is the pen nibs wearing down, sure you get like 12 nibs to start out but im going to need more next year in fall if i go digital alot like i have been...BUT the wireless pen doesnt require batteries so id say its a pretty good trade.

Yeah, I don't like cursor to move slower. I like it to keep pace with my actual hand motion. I use S-5 as well, but I'm trying to grow away from that, and actually learn to stabilize my own hand. But that comes with practice.

I agree the pen nibs wearing down in a total pain in the ass. I only got 4 with my set. The other sad thing is that you can't rotate the pen in hand like a pencil, so not just one side gets worn down. You have to keep the side with the buttons out of the way, thus making me overly conscious of the pen. Where as when I draw I don't want to focus on the utensil, but the actual image.

Anyways, I sometimes wonder if these "artist" companies, even give the material to real artists to test out before selling it to REAL artists!! Argh!
