I don't really know, to be honest I thought my works wouldn't be allowed for this. Not only the mudkip, but other memes, and dA itself is trademarked (I believe).

But thinking about it, little big planet itself can be made out with everything, I mean I never played it but I know you can create levels and stikers from internet and share them, so I think they focused on this. Or maybe the fun aspect? I don't really know.
