I'm re-reading the Hobbit currently. Haven't quite finished yet but here are some scenes/characters from the story that I've come across so far.Top Row: Beorn, Thorin Oakenshield, Bilbo and sting thwart the spiders of Mirkwood
Second Row: The Trolls (Bill - Bert - Tom), Smaug detroys the city of Dale, Bombur
Third Row: Gandalf, Gollum in his cave, The Wargs
Bottom Row: Kili and Fili, Gollum, Bilbo Baggins

Yikes! Beorn is totally posing! I always considered him the hottest guy in the book, but a speedo and touque is a bit overkill maybe? It's like a Paul Bunyan Playgirl centerfold.
Oh wait, I see below that those will be tights. Phew.

Those will be pants. Rest assured.
They're tight pants, like wrestling trunks. Once its colored you'll be able to tell better.

Those are excellent! Kili and Fili look especially awesome. Would love to see you do a group shot, perhaps maybe the poisoned dwarves and bilbo escaping from the spiders of mirkwood.

Thanks buddy. This turned out really well (if I may say so myself) and was a ton of fun to do, so I may do more like it. Maybe not 12 panels again, but maybe a scene as you mentioned. And the one you mentioned would be great. Bilbo and Dalin turning back to fight every few yards. Dalin is the best dwarve by the way. All the others are kind of butt-holes don't you think?
I still have about 100 pages left to read.

He is the best in my opinion. The rest do act like asses alot of the time. Especially Thorin near the end.
Too bad about Moria though. It is good to see the connection between the books though.

I haven't re-read any Bard parts yet. I'm to the point where the dwareves are all being held captive in the Wood Elf King's cave/palace and Bilbo is just figuring out how to rescue them.
