Description
This was a Christmas request for Kitty, of his Star Wars Combine character. He desired a more personalized avatar. :3I love that people ask me these things. It makes me feel all fuzzy inside, but in a good way, not an I-just-accidentally-consumed-mold kind of way.
It was my first time drawing a Kel Dorian, so PLEASE no flaming on any fan-based inconsistencies! Constructive criticism on that front or any other is fine, of course, I'm just not a big Star Wars girl! My heart belongs to Babylon 5. ^_^;;
I tried my best based on what I researched to make it look right. The masks seem to vary quite a lot, as do formations of heads, etc., so I thought it would be fun to play around with it a bit. I was right, it was fun! ^_^
I may change, add or fix some things... He is pleased with the outcome thus far, which is all I really cared about to begin with.
Practice, practice, practiiice! *whooshes off to learn more*
Kel Dor, Star Wars stuff, blah blah, George Lucas, blah blah, all that jazz. I don't own these things, I just draws 'em!

I didn't have a whole lot to work with reference-wise, but I have a bad habit of getting carried away and making things up! ^_^

Thankies! ^_^ I'm used to getting requests for fandoms I'm not entirely familiar with. Kel Dorians are so darned wrinkly- I thought it would be horrid to try, but it ended up being a blast. Hurray for trying new things, I suppose!

It definitely does take a lot of patience to shade in detail... It's fun to me, but I can see how it would peeve others off pretty easily. I like the way you shade, though, don't sell yerself short! >_O

Practicing, practicing and then practicing some more is what makes shading better, that's for sure. I still want to learn as much as I can, but for now I just kind of go with what seems right. Maggie taught me a LOT about doll/pixel shading several years ago and that helped so much. She's really good at it! D:
