I've finally gotten into Axis Powers Hetalia, and I just love it! It's so cute, funny, and every character is so awesome. So I decided to make this for fun.What would the nation-tans look like as real people? I then made this and had too much fun doing so. You might be able to recognize most of these actors.
EDIT!!! So I thought about it more, and realized that one of the guys would be a better Germany. Anywhoo, I'll give names because I am nice like that.
ANOTHER EDIT!!! Okay people, I have submitted a more complete, and more accurate fan cast. Check that one out and leave your thoughts there!
America: Aaron Eckhart (aka Harvey Dent)
Japan: Kenichi Matsuyama (he played L in the Death Note movie)
France: Guillaume Canet (he's actually French!)
Hungary: Emily Blunt
Sweden: Alexander Skarsgard (aka Eric Sexypants Northman from True Blood; and he's Swedish!)
Lichtenstein: Saoirse Ronan (little girl from Atonement)
England: Matthew Goode (aka Ozymandias in Watchmen)
Germany: Rupert Friend (I originally thought of him as England, but that picture just screamed "Ludwig!!")
Russia: Kevin Durand (Keamy from Lost)
Austria: Cillian Murphy

Eh, honestly, I don't think everyone has to look like babyfaced teens or overly cutesy other than the obvious characters that qualify as being moe-moe.

Most of these actors (with some notable exceptions) are around their late 20s/early 30s. The cutesy art style just makes them look like teenagers. I mean, my China choice is in his late 40s anyway.

Liechtenstein and Saoirse Ronan look exactly like each other. They should really make a real life Hetalia movie without any cosplay.

Yeah, unfortunately Saoirse is too old and tall these days. :/ So I decided to go for a younger actress.
Don't think a real life Hetalia movie can ever come to be. I just made this casting for the fun. Ah, well we can dream still.

I posted a new and more complete cast, and as I noted there, Chris Evans was one of my choices for America but he's a secondary choice since IMO, it just kinda feels like typecasting. But I'm not against him at all.

Yeah, yeah, I know of that. But really, if we're making a real cast, I'd like to go for actors that can act the part as well as look it.
Really though, John's too old, and honestly, he doesn't come across as enough of a hardass as Germany ought to be. I really feel that if it wasn't for his one scene in The Producers, people wouldn't even make a connection.
