I think it may have gone with the following *ahem* poem I wrote back in the early 1990s but I'm not sure:

Cindy

cindy sits upon the steps
and sings sad songs
about small bugs

blistering summer heat
burns beetles dry
on the tar black street

smells of cotton candy
come wafting on the breeze
carnival clamor calls and calls

raucous hawkers vend their wares
red haired fat lady laughs
a sheep with a smile strides by

cindy rides the high high wheel
ready for a thrill
revolving vistas beckon
calling to her will

a bird flies by
smoke wafts up
seconds tock and tick
like the beating of a child's heart
or the rocking of a ship

cindy's dreams of distant stars
and nights beyond all time
songs of love upon the wind
that's blowing through her hair
a bleating begging voice
calling "do you care" ?

the wheel has stopped
cindy perched upon the top
now at last there are no clocks

golden flapping in the breeze
her hair is like a web
dressed in emerald are her eyes
set within her head

love is calling
beyond all time
dearest cindy will you be mine ?

cindy's flying like a kite
a newborn star in the field of night
all is done, and all is right

songs of distant wonder
calling to the soul
cindy's flying home now, whole

red lipped ladies running
rose cheeked kids dispersing like
an expanding ideal gas

comets streaking towards the sun
ready for a blast
revolving planets dance and sing
cindy is NO thing

all that love has had to give
now it is her name
all the madness that men fear
and things of beauty held aside
no difference -- they're the same

back on grassy earthen globe
in the sweaty summer heat
a smiling lamb is licking
blood from cindy's blasted meat

divers insects walk about
letting sidewalk burn their feet
fresh spilt blood is such a treat

blistering summer heat

on the sin black street
