Same! Comments are really super important (they're encouraging and stuff) and I love leaving them! 

I've always liked commenting on the artwork and watching beginning artists; a few kind words and tips really goes a long way.

It reminds me of a quote that's attributed to Buddha, along the lines of: "one flame can light thousands of others without itself diminishing, kindness costs nothing" and lord knows artists of all skill levels can use all the encouragement they can get

I really like that quote, thank you for reminding me of it.

It is true though, and you're very right. Encouragement and validation are super important to an artist. I find a lot of friends I know who do art make art as a grounding for I am here, because it's so easy to feel lost in the world.
