Description spotted in the street, a slightly "tricked out" 5th gen EJ Honda Civic coupe.

these coupe variants of the Honda Civic were originally meant to be sold in the North American market and were assembled in Allison, Ontario, Canada and East Liberty, Ohio. although some European countries also got them as well.

anyway, i've never been a big fan of the Honda Civic but i gotta give out respect where respect is due for being a favorite with the Import Tuner crowd back when the movement itself was starting out in South California in the mid 90's.

unfortunately it has become a favorite with Ricers as well alongside the Dodge Neon and Chevrolet Cavalier(you people know this is true)

regardless, i always liked this gen of the Civic myself, especially in hatchback form.

If this was a hatchback, then it would pretty much be exactly like Shingo Shouji's red Si-R2 in Initial D.

Ahh The VTEC B16A engine producing sporty 187 bhp!!!

After doing three CV joints, ball joints, radiator, headlights, and Vtech solenoid I hope I NEVER have to work on another Honda. (All that on the same car. STILL need to replace the front bumper and inner fenderwell on the driver's side.)

lol, was it really THAT bad? the OEM parts are ridiculously expensive in my parts ( guess that explains why most people would rather a Toyota, Chevrolet or a Hyundai over one of those)

It's pretty bad. I have to double check, but the Vtech solenoid is probably bad, all sorts of "electrical failures" on the code reader...

and Honda owners brag that they're reliable... any car can be with some TLC.

no offense to anyone who owns a Honda car, but they're overrated in my opinion.

Yeah. She got it used and the lady gave a full history of service... but that doesn't mean they weren't faked or forged. Ashley said "But it was so clean and well taken care of!" but then think about it... people generally make sure a car they're selling looks really clean and well taken care of.
