Just lovely! You captured her essence, there is a sense of fragile sadness here... But also a sense of strength, that she could endure so much without tears. Thank you for this! Elise deserves more credit than she gets. All characters are victims of bad writing, in some games.
Also: despite what you say, background is impressive. Looks like the clouds are casting shade on the grass. The way you've done it really adds to the mood of the whole image, gives it a sense of precious stillness before the storm. Bright without glowing - so kind of dull at the same time. Then the pale blue of the eyes nearly matching the sky and as the highlight on the cheek... And the shading on that fabric of her dress... So good we can almost hear it rustle in a breeze. Really. You need more credit, too.
