Camtasia Recorder (part of camtasia studio; delayed capture, set to record 30 frames per minute, but play back 30 frames per second).

hell of a lot smaller than it would be otherwise. After I have the recording, it's usually anywhere from 45-80 seconds long. I just stretch the length to fit a song I like so that people can see more of what I'm doing so it's less jumpy.

evokes the feeling of cold and somewhat lonely,
the reflections of a red setting/rising sun are really nice; i like it
