Yeah, VERY original of me, right?
I'm actually not sure whether to categorize this picture as traditional or digital. The actual drawing was traditionally-created using my usual means, but I did a bunch of editing in photoshop on it where I added in the tan background with a few layers of free stock textures and paint effects. I'll just put this under "Traditional-Mixed Media" for now, as I have yet to find a traditional/digital hybrid category.
In the meantime, I hope you enjoy the art! Thanks in advance!

I really like this! She looks so serene- especially for someone holding a sword. :3 LOVE the detail in her tail. All those scales- I can't imagine how much time it took for you to do that. ;3;

Oh, and I actually drew her with no story or plot in mind- it's just one of those random originals where the character design just kind of exists for the sake of the art. Not to mention that I think that if I did try to give her a personality/story, she would come across as being too much of a clone of Peridot. Who knows, though, maybe she secretly IS Peridot in disguise, hahaha! X'D
