Description Because I draw Fi too much and it's fun. That is all. Ladadadadadadaaaa

Haha, I better go get something to eat or something, my brain's having trouble making words again. >v<''

I'm sure I'll come back later and write something wittier...

I really love all of the mixed medium look this has!

Ah, thank you so much! ^v^ It's pretty much all copic markers and some white gel pen for the coloring medium on it. Oh, and you're the other person at the local anime con's artist alley, right? 0v0 Pleased to meet you!

Copics are awesome! I also have a huge stash of them, but my traditional art skills really suck now, haha xD;;
And yeah, I'm one of the artists at Nagucon! I can't wait to see you and your other table mates !

Ah, likewise to you! This is going to be my first real anime con/artist alley, so I am super excited for it! ^v^ Ah, and yeah, copics take a while to learn for sure, and they can definitely not give the best results if used with the wrong kind of paper. If you want sometime, I could offer you some tips on them. ^v^ Not that you probably need my help, though, your art is splendid!

I like the accents of yellow around Fi.  I feel like they really bring her forward and lead the eye around. Impressive work drawing the pose too. Does Fi have arms or are they under the fabric?

Ah, thank you so much! I love coloring in lighting effects like that. Oh, and thank you once again, I am pleased that you think it turned out good! Ah, and eerily enough, she doesn't have arms, yet the fabric of her cape moves as if there was arms under the fabric. 0.0

Sure. This color class I took recently has given me a new found respect for your sense of color. I think this has a similar color scheme to my mandala in the sense that it has blue analogous colors with split compliments to add interest here and there.

I've always wondered that about Fi. I imagine her armlessness makes her fun to draw in the sense that she doesn't have any pesky hands! Oh how hands can be troublesome.

Ah, thank you so much! >v< I am so glad you like my coloring that much, I tend to go insane on the shade blending and scheme on my pictures. >v<''

Ah, and yeah, the fact that you don't have to worry about hands and arms with her and can replace them with flowing fabric is definitely a plus that makes her a lot more fun to draw.

username125 In reply to MissPeridot [2014-05-14 02:12:16 +0000 UTC]

Well your drawings seem to have very good color harmony so I would think that all the blending is working in your favor. All of my attempts at color before this class look pretty amateurish to me now. Lots of saturated colors and high contrast in areas that I didn't want to draw attention and colors that don't harmonize like they should. Great work here indeed.

Thank you so much! I am really honored that you think so, that really means a lot.

And I know what you mean, color is really hard to get down and it took me a long time to learn it as well. Especially with how to color a picture to have a pronounced light source.

Thanks very much, you are really someone who knows the ins and outs of drawing, so to hear something like that from someone as good as you really means a lot to me.

Totally agreed there, she was one of a few character development gold mines in the series that they missed their mark on. It's a shame given that this is the same game series that introduced Midna, who was superbly-written.

Aww, and thank you so much! >v< I actually do have a Zelda piece of Hilda that I started before the game came out that I need to finish badly. >v<''

Thanks!

Yeah, that's what I totally though the first time I play AC and encountered the thief girl. I feel that if my town is supposed to be Hyrule since it's named Anirule, Cherry is the equivalent to the Thief Girl. I mean, she has the same attitude and both are really mysterious xD

Ooooohh!!! I'd LOVE for you to publish it, I bet it would look really great! ^_^ I have to draw Hilda as well. I'm planning on drawing Hilda, Zelda, Link, and Ravio all in one picture :3 They're my most favorite characters of the entire game Though it's going to be a challenge for me since I've never drawn more than 2 characters in one picture O_O
But seriously, I'm excited to see your fan art!!!

Thanks! Maybe I'll draw the final scene...

Oh that reminds me, did you finish the entire game yet? I finished, but I haven't started Hero Mode yet and apparently there's a slight change to the ending.

Oh really? But it seems like you do it well! I just get scared when I do it because if I make an error when drawing one character, I have to start the entire picture over which can take hours >_<

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

MissPeridot In reply to KYAmai [2014-05-08 05:11:19 +0000 UTC]

Oh, no, I haven't finished the game yet, I need to do that! I always finish Zelda games at such a slow pace, mainly because I spend so much time just taking in everything the game has to offer. I am really bad when it comes to beating those games fast. The exception was Skyward Sword, but it was so linear that I sadly didn't have much choice. >.<'' That, and Ghirahim was kind of an interesting character, I wanted to beat the game and see if my guesses on who or what he really was were right. >v<'' Oddly enough, my initial hypothesis regarding the character that I guessed on when they first showed him in a trailer for the game was right, but by the time I played the game I had forgotten my theory until the very end of the game, where I had this big "I KNEW IT" moment. XD

I'm excited to see if my guesses about Hilda will be right or wrong during the final reveals of the game as well. 0v0
Haha, Zelda nerdom tangent, I am so sorry about that. >v<''

Oh, and yeah, I totally have trouble with that too! I try to organize the plan for how the characters will fit into the picture using a small thumbnail first sometimes, but I'm not too good at it. >v<''

KYAmai In reply to MissPeridot [2014-05-22 19:50:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah I can relate since it took me a month to finish A Link Between Worlds. But I think finishing a game at a slow pace is better than at a fast pace because you get to enjoy the game more for much longer! I remember when I was playing A Link Between Worlds I almost didn't want to finish the game because I knew I'd be sad once the story ended but it was still really great.

Seems like you had fun playing Skyward Sword What was your theory about it?
I also had an "I KNEW IT" moment to regarding who was Link's Lorulean counterpart and while it's not openly stated I still think I know who it is, it was clear to me as soon as I saw the map of Lorule!

Oh, you'll be in for a surprise at the end! I didn't see it coming but let's just say Hilda has very interesting and shocking dialouge right before the final boss fight. But then it's revealed why she did what she did (I won't spoil it though)

LOL, it's totally okay! I've been on a Zelda nerdom tangent too. In fact, I went to a field trip from school today and I brought my DS and I couldn't stop talking about Zelda to a girl I knew xD

Yeah, same here >_< But I think you do a really good job at it from what I've seen!

MissPeridot In reply to KYAmai [2014-06-05 00:54:31 +0000 UTC]

Ahh, well I can't tell you my theory 'cause then there would be spoilers! >v<''

It's funny, I have an odd love-hate relationship with Skyward Sword- on one hand, I love the story, while on the other hand it has easily the worst gameplay out of any Zelda game. It doesn't control very well due to exclusively relying on wonky motion controls and there isn't really much of a full-on overworld to explore, making it very linear and taking out one of the funnest elements from Zelda.

Daww, and fiddlesticks, now I KNOW who the counterpart is just by what you said. >_<'' I was figuring the Link of that world was a coward of sorts, but now I know exactly who it is...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

KYAmai In reply to MissPeridot [2014-06-13 21:02:55 +0000 UTC]

Aww that's okay, now that I'm starting summer vacation, I'll have plenty of time to watch walkthroughs of Skyward Sword on YouTube! ^_^

I think others feel the same way since I've heard the controls aren't the best but hopefully the story makes up for that >_<'
It's somewhat unfortunate when linear gameplay makes the game sort of boring but at least A Link Between Worlds was way more expansive and the player gets a choice on which dungeons they have to go through first!

Oh sorry!!! >_< I didn't think I was giving to much of the story away! Sorry ... ):
And yeah, the ending of the game definitely confirms your last sentence but at least no one knows who the main villain is a counterpart of yet. Again, I didn't mean to spoil anything, sorry!

I'm so jealous of your use of fluid clothing xD Just the movement of it is very vivid; I guess the use of 'vivid' is rather redundant, as your coloring is as epic as always. 👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Oh, it is a character from one of the Legend of Zelda games. She's one of those characters on my list of fan art subjects that get addicting to draw, she's just so fancy! Daww, and thanks muchly, dude! ^v^ I really like drawing flowy stuff like fabric and hair and stuff like that for some reason, and Fi's cape is definitely fun to go crazy with drawing fabric like that. >v< Thanks for all the nice comments!
