Pencil drawing of Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones.I drew this when I was 16, which was a while ago now! From memory it was completed in graphite 2B, 4B, 6B and 8B.
20 - 24 hours.

Lol, I know. That photo was taken in 1999 (I believe) and at the time he was only 56. I don't think that years of alcohol and drug abuse have helped his complexion much. He's still a legend though!

I like this close cropped composition that creates interest and really draws the viewer in.
Your proportions look good.
You have done some great work in the past in capturing the countenance of a face and all, but this is way over the top! Gott'a love it!
You have a nice range of values here with plenty of contrast.
Strong technique in the use of value changes and transitions.
