One question haunts and hurts
Too much, too much to mention
Was I really seeking good?
Or just seeking attention?
Is that all good deeds are
when looked at with an ice-cold eye?
If that all good deed are,
maybe that’s the reason why . . .

Ahh, I’ve been loving annapantsu’s cover of "No Good Deed" from Wicked that I had to draw a scene inspired by it!
I decided to draw my pirate gal Rune since I hardly ever draw her in watercolor anymore ;u; Also, the style of the purple flames was
inspired by one of Simatra 's episodes of "Drawing A ____!" which I'll leave below in case anyone wants to check it out!
(I’m quite bad at drawing fire myself, so this was helpful in giving me a cartoony, yet still recognizable fire.

She just has a lot of pent up anger and pain tbh from her crew pulling a mutiny on her after her brother
died from a toxic leaking vapor that exploded below deck. Everyone blamed Rune for his death when he actually died
saving her from another villainous cat, Flint. So yeah, she’s got a complicated history! Also, I’m working on a trio
portrait of Rune, her brother Jet, and Flint and will explain a bit about their story, so be on the lookout for that soon!
