I LOVE love LOVE sketching with the lighter pencil tool in Manga Studio 5....at a high resolution canvas size...I use around a size 30 brush tip so i get variable pressure and thickness. ooh gosh i felt very official and smart right there

I'm going to have to mess with it a bit more. xD I've tried it before but I can't get the style that I like, lol. It's possible that my pen pressure settings are too low (I tend to press down heavy) and so I don't typically use a larger brush. I shall keep experimenting. ;3

yah that might be it...I forgot o mention I almost always turn down my brush flow and density too! I have a very heavy hand when it comes to drawing so that forces me to HAVE TO press harder only when I want it darker because my lines are incredible light with the setting on....maybe that will help get the sketchy look you want
