Then that explains why they are so rare and spindly and impossible to grow in Australia. If I didn't hate the cold so much I'd be moving to Finland tomorrow

I suppose really that much of Australia can be very harsh in the summer too - for the opposite reason to Finland. But I would certainly rather be too hot than too cold. Given some nice shade and a breeze, or air-conditioning, I find summer truly wonderful. In winter I just can't get warm but then our houses are not made for keeping warm, they are made for keeping cool. I would sooo love to have central heating but I'd have to win the lottery first I think LOL
