Honestly thats really more of an opionion then a critique on the image. and if you read the decription you see it is one of a series of Native AMerican based spirit / totem animals.

I think of all the animal totems this is my absolute favorite, the textures stay true through out. The tones are mellow and yet compelling and I adore the dream catcher, and the detail given to the small sized feathers. I love the eyes and the eerie yellowish green applied to them. The small strands of fur beside the nose are just flawless, as is the whiskers.And the tufts that show you depth with in the fur, the shading as well as the highlighting give it real depth within the piece.

I am in the process of writing two books, one featuring a cougar and the other a bear. They are paranormal romances, but both are based around discovering how the qualities of their totem animal side helps them as individual. They are intended for an 18+ audience. Can the illustrations be altered to make them more 'snarly' to reflect that it is not YA literature? Ideally, I need the animal face down one side, so I have clear space for the book title and author names. This one is my fave of your spirit critters! Very nicely done. Very realistic. The empty eyes are a bit spooky but in a good way. I've always been fascinated by spirit animals.

Nice, although I do have to kinda agree with the critique that says the only bad point to this is that the cat's head looks like it's been mounted on a wall or something.

Really, really beautiful. I love that dreamcatcher...I have one like it hanging from the mirror in my car. Except it's blue. xD I actually don't think that he looks like a stuffed head. He looks like he's about to step the rest of the way out from that wall. I keep waiting to see a paw. xD Wonderful job. I want to pet him.
And I don't think "critiques" is a place where people should spout their beliefs in that a head shouldn't be stuffed on a wall.

Thank you.. The dream catcher was really fun to make.. someday I may do just a dream catcher, bigger, and fill it with all the little details... who knows. 
In honesty.. I agree with the stuffed heads on walls thing.. it's sad.. but.. totally in my crit box is not the place to spout your beliefs, it's a place to comment and critique my image, style, technique, etc. So thank you for your support there. That..and had he read the my description comment he maybe would have seen that obviously wasnt what the image is about, the truely annoying part. lol
PS... he would let you pet him!

Oh, that would be awesome! I would love to see that. ^^ I love dream catchers, big and small, but especially paintings of them, digital or no. Just because of all the detail/time/thought/patience that must go into them.
Precisely. I myself don't really mind the stuffed-head-on-wall thing, although I prefer that the hunter kill the animal to eat, not for fun. Still, start that discussion with you elsewhere, not up on critiques where everyone can see you make an ass of yourself.

i was reading CezarMart's critique and found the 'stuffed head' remark interesting. i suppose if you faded out the edges a bit, or did something with the parts where the fur outline ends, it would look much less so.
i know what you're trying to convery, though -- that sense of unearthliness, a vision emerging from the spirit world. all in all i think the feel of this painting is pretty powerful. and u certainly achieved the intended effect
the details on the dreamcatcher are exquisite. so are the maddeningly perfect textures of the fur. although i'd like to see just a wee bit more styling ...right now it kind of looks like an ethereal but ultimately realistic take on a cougar headshot. perhaps you wanna give ther perfectly groomed pelt a bit of...i dunno, wildness. imbue a sense of awe and power into the picture. right now it is spiritual, but a little too calm.
Still, that is just one person's opinion
