OOOPs...didn't read first comment...maybe it's a sign a poster demands to be done.

The look is very polished making it appear old and new at the same time. I was surprised to read that the media was cut and pasted as it has the seemless look of PhotoShop layers which made me initially think it was digitally composed.
Despite the immediate technical appearance, the poses and composition connote an overall sense of humanity while the robotocized emulation of a limb reminds us that our bodies themselves are truly machines.
I get a sense of time compression as the engravings documenting a long completed dissection and the bar code suggesting our mastery of DNA sequencing work to show how far we have come in scientific pursuits. The paradox is that even though our understanding of physiology continues to be expanded, it is what is not depicted, our humanity which remains the same.
Though most of the figures are without flesh, it makes me wonder how much human emotion and even narratives could be evoked with similar renderings.
Je suis très intriguée!

Well, I'm flattered. That's a nice critique. But I'm french and there something I don't understand. What does seemless look means? I don't completely understand the fist paragraph. But a big thanks, anyway. You made my day!

Seamless is what I meant; smooth/polished. Often "cut and paste" is very collaged-looking meaning that there are gaps, overlaps, and an obviously put together from different/disparate pieces kind of look.
Since I wrote that, I have looked at more of your works and like them as well.
Cheers,
Brad
P.S. My French is not good enough to write the thoughts I had as eloquently. Je peut commander une bière.

Ah! Seamless with a A! That's why I didn't find it in the dictionnary! Yeah, it takes a long time to cut and to make it fit. I've been working intensively on Photoshop for about 6 month. The purpose: Make my illustrations looks real enough to not let know where's the real thing and where's the photomontage one. Happy to see that you like it. And if you come by Montreal one day, we'll take that beer! LOL!

Wow! I can't believe I did that (spelled "seamless" as "seemless").
I still have PhotoShop envy as I only have the Elements version.
