Those red flowers are poppies, which symbolize Death, right?

they're poppies alright, but really I gave up on the actual symbolic meanings after a while of browsing through flowers symbolism stuff online: there're so many different meanings! so yeah, they can symbolize whatever the viewer wants

I'm deeply touched by your picture. Perhaps it's that striking golden lighting, perhaps the colours, or the faces. Maybe it's the little folds in their clothing, or how two people exact opposites from another look so beautiful when they're together. And then there's that reminder of the fragility of life... The flowers make me think of that, because how fast flowers come and go, just like Enjolras and Grantaire did. It must be all of that combined which make such an impact.
I've seen this picture before, and it never quite left my mind. Finding it here made me joyous. I wanted to compliment you on capturing a beauty that is so indescribably powerful and unforgettable; and for that I must thank you.

Oh man, Grantaire's flowers aren't actually any specific flower - I referenced the images in the 'white acacia' google search, but there's no particular symbolism behind them? That's just what my first mental image was, and I figured to go with what looks nice, and people can make up the symbolism themselves
