Description "Miyajima's Great Torii at Sunset"
"Wielka brama torii na wyspie Miyajima o zachodzie słońca"

This is my second try to paint the torii of Miyajima, this time at sunset ^^.

This is the torii gate leading to the Shinto shrine on the island of Itsukushima (also known as Miyajima) in Hiroshima Prefecture in Japan. The shrine is dedicated to the three daughters of Susano-o no Mikoto, shinto god. 

This work is based on many photos of the torii I had found via google search.

Watercolor on watercolor paper, 18,5 x 11,5 cm.
