First, this is a new form of style and it is displayed really well.
The body positions of the two are subtle and well placed with the shadows individually. Although the light source appears slightly different with Ichigo and Toushiro. The light seems more on Ichgio's side. With his stature much larger than Toushiro's, the shadow, for example, would be a bit darker on Toushiro's sleeves, back, and shoulder to give his form more definition. Blacks are hard to shade and highlight, so this is done, overall, well.
On terms of anatomy the only fault I find is Ichigo's hand: the finger's too long and the palm too small. That can be fixed with certain placed shadows or erasing lines that stretch a bit far. The shape of the fingers are fine. Toushiro's knuckles on his left hand could be slightly more defined.
Other than those small things, the human anatomy is generally great! The two's hands mingling with each other are in perfect proportion and atomically correct. The title is well incorporated with the painting in my opinion. The fact that their hands are simply on top of each other but not clutched tightly or a "clingy" fashion, keep true to the character's personality. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/sā¦ " width="15" height="15" alt="" title=" (Smile)"/>
Ichigo's abdomen and shoulder blades are drawn extremely well. Not many can draw a muscular but slim build. It's defiantly a challenge but you pulled it off nicely!
The color mixture is splendid, example: Ichigo's pants. I myself love the blue mixed in with the tan. Another good example is the red coloring in their skin. It is a brilliant result, rather than making the entire base darker or "tanner".
A soft, gentle smile is much more of an "in-character" smile for Toushiro (as we all know he tends to be a spoil sport) The smile seems slightly relaxed but not exactly like him. His hair, wild as ever, and piercing eyes are painted excellently! The face structure on both seem near perfect to Tite's rendering but your own flair is present.
I personally love e.deviantart.net/emoticons/l/lā¦ " width="26" height="17" alt="" title="Love"/> this new style and the artwork itself. I get a feeling of strong defiance and "togetherness" from the artwork and it stands out beautifully. I have seen your art before and this has definably shown a great improvement, not to mention a change from your normal safe-zone, which is always risky for artists. I hope to see you improve even more!
