Hello and welcome to Miree!

We are an ARPG group, meaning that we are an art based role playing community here on dA; in order to participate, you must create, whether it be through drawings, sculpting, writing, and more. We're open to all members regardless of art style or skill level, and we hope to be able to create a nurturing community that encourages artists of all types to pursue what they're passionate about in order to further their skills and create pieces that they're proud of!

The species available in Miree are planned to be all semi-open creations; if you would like to make your own, you're completely free to do so, no credit necessary! Non-official Mireen can be created at anytime and they do not have to follow any set of our rules or lore; they may even be mentioned in art pieces submitted to this group, but they may not be used to participate in the ARPG itself.

Getting started in Miree can be pretty confusing, but this guide is here to help lead you through the very beginnings of the ARPG.

Here are a couple of things that you can do in Miree; after trying out everything here, the rest is completely up to you!

1. Obtain official Mireen
In order to participate in any ARPG activities of the group, you will need to obtain your a Mireen character.
You may decide to purchase, win, or create your first official Mireen; all options are completely viable!

Purchasing Official Mireen
Official and Guest Artists for the group are given the ability to create and sell official Mireen designs. By purchasing a design from one of these Artists, you're able to immediately get a Mireen character that can be used in the ARPG right away. Some sold Mireen have their Specialty Forms already unlocked while some may have elusive Mystic Traits available to them. While their Traits may be freely modified, do note that radically modifying their colors and patterns require special items to be used on them!

Winning Official Mireen
In addition to selling, Official and Guest Artists are able to award users who enter miniature competitions for their hard work and creativity. Some Artists may choose to host draw or write to adopts, in which it's possible for multiple users to win a design by being awarded Runner Up Mireen or MYOs should multiple users put enough effort into their entries. Similarly to purchasing Mireen, Mireen that are eligible to be won may have their Specialty Forms of Mystic Traits unlocked. While the Traits they have may be freely modified, radically changing their colors and patterns also require special items to be used on them!

Creating Official Mireen
Creating your own Mireen involves obtaining a MYO of your choice and choosing what you want your Mireen to look like all around. Every user who joins the Miree-Island group is awarded 1 starter Mireen MYO item which is account bound (meaning that Starter Items, unlike regular MYO items, cannot be traded, sold, or gifted) to use on their first Mireen character. Unless you've been able to unlock special additions through MYO events (like Specialty Forms or Mystic Traits), all base Starter MYOs can only use Feral Traits and their regular forms. Further MYOs can be achieved through hard work or be obtained through special events.
There are more ways of being able to obtain official Mireen in the future that are being planned currently!
Until these ways are made official, they'll be kept off this guide to help prevent confusion.

2. Create a tracker
A Mireen Tracker is one of the most important documentation you can have for your character. While not entirely required, users are encouraged to create one to make approval easier on both staff members and players. Trackers can be hosted on nearly any site and do not need to be shared with the group; as long as you're able to record down important information for your Mireen, that's all that really matters!

Do note that, if Miree Staff cannot comment directly on your tracker, you will need to save and provide direct links when you go to claim or use items.

Everything seen on this tracker is completely optional and may even be customized freely.

3. Participate in the ARPG
Miree plans to have many different activities and events for you to participate in with your own personal characters. These are not heavily time or skill based, and users are encouraged to take as long as they need to in order to participate at their own speed. Not only does participating in the ARPG allow you to further develop your characters, but they can also net you various rewards. As we want to encourage and reward users to invest their time into creating and developing their characters, art with more effort and care placed into it will receiver higher payouts than quick sketches.

4. Earn Miree CoinsMiree Coins are the in-game currency, and may be used to purchase various goods and services within Miree. You can gain Miree Coins simply through creating artwork of your official Mireen. Participating in events, activities, and Mireen contests can also further reward your characters with additional currency.

Here's a quick guide for earning Miree Coins through art:
Lined half body with color and simple shading
(This is the minimum requirement for pieces to obtain currency)
100 Miree Coins
Complex shading
(Requires consistent shading and highlights throughout the piece)

(Backgrounds that have very little depth/a few props scattered about; does not stack with complex scenery)

(You must have permission to draw this character and they must meet the minimum requirement of a lined half body with color + simple shading)

(I.E. turning head, walk cycle, and other larger movements)

(Includes, but is not limited to, digital 3D sculptures, traditional clay sculptures, etc. Must be three dimensional.)

(All writing styles allowed including poems, sonnets, haikus, etc. If they do not reach the 100 minimum word limit, please include multiple writing pieces to reach it)
50 Miree Coins per 100 words

5. Customize your Mireen
As you progress through the ARPG, you'll likely notice that the amount of Miree Coins you obtain from participation will continue to increase and stack up, allowing you to purchase a variety of items and services. A majority of these goods and services revolve around customizing your character. Items that allow the change of colors, markings, and traits all exist within Miree, and services that allow the creation of Specialty Forms are constantly provided for those who wish to have their character take that path.
