This is Mirabel at her finest and a great example of a perfectly executed vexel portrait.
The overall theme of the vexel is great and I love the contrasting colours of her parasol against the blue background... it enhances the lovely pastels of the focal point of the vexel.
I do love the little details on this vexel... the jet black lace detailing is such a wonderful touch. Often it's a bit of a hit and miss using such a bold colour against such delicate colours in this sort of setting and style of realism, however I think it only enhances it further.
The use of gradients in the parasol is a wonderful touch also.
This is definately a vexel to be proud of.
Technically it is a very sound piece, however the only fault I could really find is some of the rain line effects are not parallel and I think this would have been perfect in an other technically brilliant piece.

I love the dress with the lacework! And her hair looks great!
The blue background gives this a perfect contrast against the yellow/peachy colors! Great choice!
