~This is something a bit simplier than the pieces I usually paint, since it started out as a speedpainting excercise. (And apparently failed at it, since I wasn't able to stop refining it until it no longer could be counted as a speedpainting :< )

Ah young'uns these days. They do nothing but sit down and watch the stars all night long. In our time, we actually had to hunt and forage sometimes as much as 48 hours a day to feed ourselves.
Great piece, couldn't refrain from a funny comment. Reminds me too much of kids watching TV.

This reminds me a lot of the story I'm writing. It centers around a wolf and an elk who manage to put aside their differences and become friends, despite the laws of nature.
They have to escort a unicorn home, of course there's going to be some nature bending, lol.

I really like it, I just don't know what to think of it. the figures in the sky are just so contrasted to the peaceful looking wolf and deer on the mountain top, least that's how it looks to me.

While 12 hours certainly isn't speedpainting, it still looks marvelous. For practice or just getting into the rhythm of speed-painting or -drawing, I highly recommend charcoal sticks to draw a simple, lineart style pic from a model or a VERY clear mental image. I like to try for less than a minute, but under two is a good place to start.
