I really appreciate the detail, color and lighting used in this piece. It's warm but also has an air of slimy, which I personally find fitting given the critters camouflaged in the earth there. The only critique I have is that the red bird seems like a completely different style than the rest of the drawing and I keep going back to it and feeling like it was a cut-paste choice.
It is wonderful to look at, regardless.
