I want to do the 30 day Monster Girl Challenge but I think drawing every day while I have other stuff to do is getting a little ahead of myself... so I'll be naughty and draw a monster girl every week. xD Which means I fail the challenge already... :cWeek 1, Harpy.
I wanted mine to differ from the usual Harpies so I gave mine the wings of a Parrot... she's so colourful >w< I'd like for all these monster girls to be OC's so if anyone can think of a name, please suggest it ^¬^ Now to go off and do important shit, bye <3

I would have done more with the feathers blending into the skin but I got a little frustrated with it xD;

You're very welcome! ^^ I'm looking forward to seeing your approach to the other creatures in the Monster Girl Challenge! I love harpies, but I hate drawing their wings-- I was never particularly good with drawing feathers.

pfft, don't get me started on the wings D: I showed a friend the before sketch and he said the wings looked like feather dusters. =,= Took me a long time to get them how they are now, lots of references needed and it wasn't very fun. :c

Hahah, feather duster is at least a step better than what I get when I try to draw wings. XD I really just need to study wings and see how they're put together to really get a sense of how to draw them. And yeah, I can imagine how frustrating it must have been.

Yeah, reference pictures help a lot =3 It's just a pain to get the right references to the position you want the wings to be in.
