No matter which way you sliced it, life can get a bit boring sometimes. It’s often why people find hobbies or interests to keep themselves going, otherwise they would just be left without purpose. Unfortunately for the gullible, that purpose isn’t always great….

News reports have emerged that crime had taken a recent skyrocket in the otherwise peaceful city of Hypnopolis. Of course, no one was a stranger to the city’s bizarre history with the occult and bizarre, but this seemed….odd. Even for them.

Numerous folks have stated their wives, girlfriends, etc; all leaving and joining what seemed to be an ordinary social club at first, but was quickly turning out to be a cult known as “The Speakers of The Spiral.” Said female companions would be found at the scenes of robberies, unknown locations with their cash missing, etc. Some have reported them to be acting more strangely with each passing meeting, eventually discovering entire funds missing as they would simply smile and reply with. “It’s all for the benefit of the Supreme Spiral.”

The police hadn’t been able to track any leads firmly down, chalking it up all to be a simple prank or fraternity gone wrong. All that is, except for Detective Jennifer Morrison. The lass had made it clear that she wouldn’t leave the case alone, as the acts and victims in it had slowly formed the opinion that this wasn’t just a simple sorority gone wrong. More like something akin to that of an outlandish cult. And as long as it was around, she would not rest until she found out exactly what the purpose and goal of this sudden new group was.

She took matters into her own hands, determined to find out exactly what and who was behind this sinister sector of servitude. As an officer of the law, she would do anything and everything to solve a crime…..but would she really potentially risk her own mind to do it?
