Othello came from a toy store that sold many animal stuffed toys, and he was given to a young girl named Lillith. He was loved and cared for; Lillith always embraced him whenever she went to sleep, she always brought him to all of her family trips; she always invited him to her tea parties. Othello was Lillith's favorite- but he wasn't a favorite of her other toys. "Why does she like you so much?" "Because of you she doesn't care about us anymore" "I hope she forgets about you" Because of all of this hatred and jealousy the stuffed toy owl felt so sad. He didn't like being a favorite. He didn't like shadowing other toys. Yes, he wanted to be loved by Lillith but if that meant having the other toys hate him, well, the love wasn't worth it.

One night, while Lillith slept on her bed, Othello jumped out of her arms and escaped the house. Because he was spoiled ever since he was with Lillith he didn't know how to survive the outside. When he passed through a poorly brought up town he was found by bratty kids and was treated harshly and roughly. "It was different playing with Lillith" He always thought to himself. In those rotten playgrounds he was thrown around and pulled on by delinquents. He regretted running away. "Why did I do such a thing? Oh right. It's because Lillith's other toys despised me. Maybe this is karma. Maybe this is my punishment. Maybe I am destined to live an awful toy's life." Then one day he received an invitation, an envelope sent from Toy Isle. He was invited to stay in a place where all toys lived peacefully with no humans. No..humans? No humans meant no favorites, no jealousy, no children. No humans. No humans! Without a second thought he accepted the invitation and headed to Toy Isle.
